Special Emily's Story
Emily had a problem from birth in that she lagged behind in class and was slow to catch up with the teachers' lessons. So what did her teachers have to say about her to her parents? Read on to find out.
In fact the teachers hinted to Emily's parents at the teachers-parents' meeting that Emily needed special schooling and she couldn't cope currently with her lessons.
It was a big blow to her parents. Educating her in a special school would mean more expenditure and the mere thought that their daughter was a little handicapped frustrated them.
Emily was playing with her dolls and toy kitchen set while both her parents watched on. Tears flooded their eyes and as if reading their minds, Emily asked sincerely," Don't I have school today?"
They replied simply, finding their voice," Yes, of course. But we are looking for an even better school for you."
As Emily was taken to a special school by her parents, they watched other children walk beside her with more deformed bodies in worse conditions. Emily's parents found solace in the fact that their daughter was a lovely girl with a perfect body. It was just that she was a little slow catching up with lessons at school.
As her former teachers advised, her parents admitted Emily to the special school and also gave her a tutor at home to keep her on track with classes.
Although her pace at school was tortoise-like, her parents cheered her that at least she was still making progress.
After several years had passed, Emily's parents wanted to test her out in a regular school because their budget was eating away at the expenses of her special schooling.
Accordingly, she sat for the admission test in a regular school and passed the test, much to her parents' extreme satisfaction. Looking at their happiness, Emily worked extra harder at her lessons and was able to beat the odds. Yes, with time and effort, Emily had turned out to be a regular girl.
What future lay before Emily now? Will she be able to have a boyfriend, marry, have a soul mate and a family? Or would God defy all of that? What are the chains of events that would lead her for the better or worse?
I leave the reader at this point to imagine and guess. Yes, dear reader, I would like you to finish the story in a way you would like. Thanks for staying tuned.
